ORDINANCE NO. 89-10-4326
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-61, CIVIL SERVICE, OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That sub -section (a) of Section 10-61, "Un-

assigned Positions of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah,

Kentucky, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 10-61. Unassigned Positions.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following
positions not assigned to any department of the City of Paducah, but
directly under the supervision of the City Manager, and the salary of
each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion of
consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recommendation
of the City Manager:

(c) The salary range of individual employees in the
Emergency Communications Department shall be set by the Board of
Commissioners by Municipal Order within the range hereinabove set
forth. The number of employees shall be set by Municipal Order.

(b) The chief of the
maintenance division
may designate one
maintenance specialist in his
department to act as
a lead man or
part-time working foreman to
serve in such capacity
at the direction of
the chief of the maintenance
division. The maintenance
specialist so
designated shall be paid an additional
$1.00 per
hour during such times
as the maintenance specialist
designated actually
serves in such
capacity.
(c) The salary range of individual employees in the
Emergency Communications Department shall be set by the Board of
Commissioners by Municipal Order within the range hereinabove set
forth. The number of employees shall be set by Municipal Order.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days
and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified
summary thereof.
