ORDINANCE NO. 91-12-4706
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND CREDIT BUREAU SYSTEMS,
INC. FOR FORECLOSURE PROCEEDINGS
WHEREAS, the City has engaged the services of Credit
Bureau Systems, Inc. for collection of delinquent taxes; and
WHEREAS, Credit Bureau Systems, Inc. has informed the
City that the only action 'remainingto be taken in order to
effect recovery of certain accounts is that of foreclosure and
enforcement of the tax lien on real properties; and
WHEREAS, the City is bound by ordinance and fiduciary
responsibilities to its residents to enforce its tax ordinances
and tax collection procedures.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract between the City and Credit Bureau Systems, Inc. for
foreclosure proceedings for the collection of delinquent
property taxes. This contract is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. In order to institute these proceedings
before the end of the calendar year, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective
immediately with one reading.`
