ORDINANCE NO. 91-11-4701
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COMMONWEALTH OF
KENTUCKY AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE
OLD WEST KENTUCKY VOCATIONAL -TECHNICAL SCHOOL
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Kentucky owns and
maintains property known as the Old West Kentucky
Vocational -Technical School located in Paducah, McCracken
County, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has requested that
the Commonwealth lease this property to the City on a
long-term basis; and f
WHEREAS, the Secretary of the Finance and
Administration Cabinet has determined that it would be in
the best interest of the Commonwealth to lease said property
to the City pursuant to certain terms and conditions.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a Lease Agreement with the Commonwealth
of Kentucky for property known as the Old West Kentucky
Vocational -Technical School.
SECTION 2. This Lease Agreement is attached
hereto and incorporated by reference herein as if set out in
its entirety.
SECTION 3. In order to comply with State
requirements for timely execution of this lease, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
will become effective immediately with one reading.
SECTION 4. This ordinance will be published by
summary pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
