ORDINANCE NO. 92-7-4805
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF SOUTHERN STATE
ASPHALT COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF
ASPHALT, (LIQUID), FOR THE YEAR 1992-93, TO BE USED IN STREET
CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR WORK, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the
proposal of Southern States Asphalt Company, dated June 26,
1992, for sale to the City of its 1992-93 requirement of
asphalt to be used in street construction and repair work, for
the following prices:
The above prices include delivery to any point in the
City of Paducah in minimum transport quantities of 5,000
gallons.
Said proposal being in substantial compliance with,
and as contained in the proposal of Southern States Asphalt
Company, dated June 26, 1992.
SECTION 2. The the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Southern State Asphalt company for the
purchase of the items set forth in Section 1 above, according
to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
heretofore approved and incorporated in the proposal.
SECTION 3. That Southern States Asphalt Company will
furnish to the City, within ten (10) days after execution of
said contract, a performance bond in the amount of $1,000.00
SECTION 4. The purchase price for said asphalt shall
be charged to Account No. 03-22-14-384 MAP.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Cha er 424.
