AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PADUCAH FORD
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $78,731.00 FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF SIX
NEW 1992 FORD CROWN VICTORIA AUTOMOBILES, FOR USE BY THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of
Paducah Ford Inc. in the amount of $78,731.00 for sale to
the City of six (6) new 1992 Ford Crown Victoria automobiles
for use by the Police Department, said bid being in
substantial compliance with bid specifications, and as
contained in the bid of Paducah Ford Inc. of ,
1992.
SECTION 2.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Paducah Ford Inc. for the purchase
of six new automobiles, authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in
the bid.
SECTION 3.
This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 01-16-01-440.
SECTION 4. In order to finalize this purchase
before the expiration date for the discount, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately with one readin .
