AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-49, 10-52, 10-59,
10-62, AND 10-65, CIVIL SERVICE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 10-49 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 10-49. Department of Finance.
This department shall be under the direction and
supervision of the City Treasurer - Finance Director,
a noncivil service position which has heretofore been
created by separate ordinance.
(a) There is hereby created and authorized the
following positions in the Department of Finance, and the
salary of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory
completion of consecutive years of service, in this position,
and upon recommendation.of the City Manager:

(a) There is hereby

salaries of each position that
shall be paid upon satisfactory
completion of consecutive years of service, in this position,
and upon recommendation of the

(b) The chief of the maintenance division may desig-
nate one maintenance specialist in his department to act as a
lead man or part-time working foreman to serve in such capacity
at the direction of the chief of the maintenance division. The
maintenance specialist so designated shall be paid an addi-
tional $1.00 per hour during such times as the maintenance
specialist designated actually serves in such capacity.
That Section 10-59 of the Code of Ordi-
nances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
SECTION 3. Sec. 10-59. Parks and Recreation
Department.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the
following positions in the Parks and Recreation Department, and
the salaries of each position that shall be paid upon satisfac-
tory completion of consecutive years of service, in this
position and upon recommendation of the City Manager:

"Those dispatchers designated as shift supervisors shall be
paid an additional $0.25 per hour during such times as they
actually serve in such capacity.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
