HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-4-4755ORDINANCE NO. 92-4-4755 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH FREDERICK G. GRIFFIN, P.C., TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL, CONSULTING, AND ENGINEERING SERVICES REGARDING THE CITY OF PADUCAH'S 800 MHZ TRUNKED RADIO COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City is presently engaged in negotiations regarding the purchase, installation, and construction of an 800 MHz trunked radio communications system; and WHEREAS, the City desires to prearrange for the following technical, consulting, and engineering services: A. Services necessary to negotiate and prepare an initial contract protecting the City's interest; B. Services for approving and/or preparing a suitable final test plan for said project; C. Any additional services it may require during the construction phase of said project; and WHEREAS, the City has made a preliminary decision to accept the offer of Frederick G. Griffin, P.C., for the performance of the aforesaid technical, consulting, and engineering services, by letter dated April 8, 1992, attached hereto and incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Frederick G. Griffin, P.C., for the provision of technical, consulting, and engineering services as set forth in § A and B above, and 1 and 2 of the attached letter, for a price not to exceed $20,000.00. 2. The Mayor is further authorized to, by the same contract, retain the services of Frederick G. Griffin, P.C., during the construction phase of said project on an as -needed basis to be billed hourly as quoted on the standard rate sheet attached to the letter incorporated by reference herein. 478 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.
