ORDINANCE NO. 92-4- 4754
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN 800 MHZ TRUNKED
RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FROM MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS AND
ELECTRONICS, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $948,230.00, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE
WHEREAS, the City notified prospective bidders of
its desire to receive bids for the purchase, installation,
and construction of an 800 MHz trunked radio communications
system pursuant to Bid No. RFP 91-08; and
WHEREAS, the City received, reviewed, and duly
considered proposals submitted in response to the aforesaid
request for proposals; and
WHEREAS, the City has chosen Motorola ✓
Communications and Electronics, Inc., to supply the desired
800 MHz trunked radio communications system for the city;
and
WHEREAS, the City now desires to negotiate a final
contract with Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc.,
detailing the proposed system.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
1. Upon the Corporation Counsel giving final
approval as to the legal form of a contract, the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute the contract obligating the
City to purchase the 800 MHz trunked radio communications
system from Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc.,
for the sum of $948,230.00
2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account

parties to
enter into an

approved contract as provided
in S 1 will
render the
authorization and approval set forth herein ineffective and
void.
4. This ordinance will be read on two separate days and
will become effective upon publication of title and a certified
summary thereof.
