ORDINANCE NO. 92-1-4718
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FOURTEEN
(14) PIECES OF SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT FROM VISUAL METHODS INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$34,391.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SAME
WHEREAS, this purchase is being made as a non-
competitive negotiation under Section 26-21 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, Visual Methods, Inc. is the sole supplier
in this area of this type equipment.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City Treasurer is hereby
authorized to pay to Visual Methods, Inc. the sum of
$34,391.00 for fourteen (14) pieces of surveillance
Jequipment for use by the Police Department.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 15-16-10-431. The sum of $32,391.00 will be
paid with federal grant funds, plus $2,000.00 City matching
funds.
SECTION 3.
In order to comply with federal grant
deadline of March 31, 1992, for finalizing purchase of this
equipment, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance will become effective with one reading.
SECTION 4. This ordinance will be published
pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
