AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO
AN ADDENDUM TO THE CONTRACT WITH W. R. COLES AND ASSOCIATES
FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR DOWNTOWN
RIVERFRONT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, on March 13, 1991, the Board of
Commissioners adopted an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to
enter into a contract with W. R. Coles and Associates for
professional engineering services for the Downtown
Riverfront ReDevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, professional engineering services for the
final design and construction of the dock was not within the
original scope of work to be performed by W. R. Coles and
Associates; and
WHEREAS, the City does now desire to have W. R.
Coles and Associates perform professional engineering
services relating to the final design and construction of
the dock, and accordingly, it is necessary for the City and
W. R. Coles and Associates to enter into an addendum to the
original agreement.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to enter into
an addendum to the contract with W. R. Coles and Associates
for professional engineering services for the Downtown
Riverfront Redevelopment Project. Specifically, this
addendum to the agreement shall provide for W. R. Coles and
Associates performing the professional engineering services
for the final design and construction of the dock. This
addendum to contract is attached hereto and incorporated by
reference herein as if fully set forth.
SECTION 2. An expenditure of $123,956.00 is
,.� hereby authorized for the additional professional
engineering services to be performed by W. R. Coles and
Associates.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective
upon passage by the Board of Commissioners upon two readings
and being published in the newspaper.
