AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF MONTGOMERY
CHEVROLET INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,789.41 FOR PURCHASE OF ONE
1992 CHEVROLET 3/4 TON PICKUP, AND IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,014.62
FOR PURCHASE OF ONE 1992 CHEVROLET ASTRO CARGO VAN, FOR USE BY
THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bids of
Montgomery Chevrolet Inc. in the amount of $12,789.41 for
the purchase of one 1992 Chevrolet 3/4 Ton 4WD Pickup, and in
the amount of $12,014.62 for the purchase of one 1992 Chevrolet
Astro Cargo Van, for use by the Department of Environmental and
Engineering Services, said bids being in substantial compliance
with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids, and as
contained in the bids of Montgomery Chevrolet Inc. of April 28,
1992.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Montgomery Chevrolet for the purchase of
vehicles as set out in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditureshallbe charged as
follows: $12,789.41 to Account No. 01- 33 08- 440, and
$12,014.62 to Account No. 01-33-07-440.
SECTION 4. In order to purchase these vehicles
before production of 1992 vehicles ends, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective
immediately with one reading.
