ORDINANCE NO. 92-9-4833
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 90-7-4471,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF POLYMERS FROM ALLIED COLLOIDS
INC. AND BETZ INDUSTRIAL TO INCLUDE NALCO CHEMICAL COMPANY
AND BLUEGRASS, KESCO INC., FOR USE AT THE WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah authorized the
purchase of polymers from Allied Colloids Inc. and Betz
Industrial by Ordinance No. 90-7-4471, adopted on July 24,
1990; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 90-7-4471 was amended on
October 23, 1990, January 8, 1991 and August 13, 1991 to
authorize additional purchases and change vendors; and
WHEREAS, it is again necessary to amend this
ordinance to include additional purchases and include
additional vendors.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. Section 1 is hereby amended to read as
J follows:
"The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay
the sum of $1.60 per pound for polymer no. 767, and $1.65
per pound for polymer no. 778 to Allied Colloids Inc.; $1.64
per pound for polymer no. 7194, $1.55 per pound for polymer
no. 7192, and $1.38 per pound for polymer no. 7122 from
Nalco Chemical Company; and $1.59 per pound for polymer no.
4794 from Bluegrass/Kesco, Inc., for the purchase of
polymers for use at the wastewater treatment plant."
SECTION 2. Account No. 55-33-03-354 shall be
charged with the aforesaid expenditures.
SECTION 3. This ordinance will be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Cha7GE
424.
