ORDINANCE NO. 92-12-Lb'7-5
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR PROTEM TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS, TRANSPORTATION
CABINET, AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR REIMBURSEMENT BY THE
TRANSPORTATION CABINET OF AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $400,000.00
T FOR REPLACEMENT OF A RAILROAD BRIDGE ON COLEMAN ROAD
WHEREAS, the parties hereto desire to provide for the
replacement of the existing timber bridge on Coleman Road to
better serve the travelling public and the Paducah Industrial
Park; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Department and
the City that this bridge replacement project would aid in the
economic development of the City and McCracken County and
improve safety and access on Coleman Road; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to assume total
responsibility for all phases of the Coleman Road bridge
replacement project; and
WHEREAS, the Department will reimburse the City an
amount not to exceed $400,000 for construction of this bridge
replacement project.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor Protem is hereby
authorized to execute an Agreement with the Transportation
Cabinet, for reimbursement by the Transportation Cabinet of an
amount not to exceed $400,000.00, for replacement of a railroad
bridge on Coleman Road.. This Agreement is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
