HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-6-4434Wo ORDINANCE NO. 90-6-4434 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIMAR PAVING COMPANY, INC., FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF BITUMINOUS CONCRETE (CLASS I, TYPE A) FOR THE YEAR 1990-91, TO BE USED IN STREET RESURFACING, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION _1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Jimar Paving Company, Inc., for sale to the City of its requirement of bituminous concrete (Class 1, Type A) for the year 1990-91 (approximately 500 tons) for the sum of $24.50 per ton to be picked up at the plant by the City, and to be used in street resurfacing; said contract being in substantial compliance with a Municipal Order adopted by the Board of Commissioners on March 13, 1990, and as contained in the bid of Jimar Paving Company, Inc., dated May 1, 1990. SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Jimar Paving Company, Inc., for sale to the City of the material authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. That Jimar Paving Company will furnish to the City, within ten (10) days after execution of said contract, a performance bond in the amount of $1,000.00. SECTION 4. The purchase price for said material shall be charged to the Municipal Aid Program. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof.' GERRY B.
