ORDINANCE NO. 90-4-4399
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN COMCAST CABLE OF PADUCAH, INC. A KENTUCKY
CORPORATION ("COMCAST") AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH, A MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY ("CITY") V
WHEREAS, the City and Comcast are parties to a
cable television franchise dated April 19, 1975, which
franchise will expire on April 18, 1990; and
WHEREAS, in the spirit of cooperation the City and
Comcast have engaged in renewal discussions without recourse
to said formal procedures; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached a tentative
agreement on the terms of the franchise renewal; and
WHEREAS, it may not be possible to complete the
renewal proceedings prior to April 18, 1990, and at the same
time assure that documents are accurately drafted and that
all required procedures are followed.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute an Agreement between Comcast Cable of Paducah, Inc.,
a Kentucky Corporation and the City of Paducah, a Municipal
Corporation of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This Agreement
is attached hereto and incorporated by reference as if fully
set out herein.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
