ORDINANCE NO. 90-4-4397
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO PAY
THE SUM OF $8,000.00 TO THE KENTUCKY STATE TREASURER FOR
FAILURE TO FOLLOW STATE AND FEDERAL PRETREATMENT PROGRAM
REGULATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah owns the operates
wastewater collection and treatment facilities known as the
Paducah Wastewater Treatment Plant in McCracken County,
Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah owns and operates a
second sewage treatment plant known as the McCracken County
Sanitation District No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah developed a pretreat-
ment program in accordance with the requirements of 401 KAR
5:055, which program was approved by the Cabinet on May 24,
1983; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah from 1983 through
1988 failed to comply with the requirements of this program.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Treasurer is hereby
authorized to pay the sum of $8,000.00 to the Kentucky State
Treasurer for failure to properly follow state and federal
pretreatment program regulations as established by 401 KAR
5:055, Section 9.
SECTION 2.
This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 16-500-410-445.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
