ORDINANCE NO. 90-3- 4387
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF
SOUTH TWENTY-SECOND STREET LOCATED BETWEEN "B" AND "C"
STREETS
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission approved this
closing on February 19, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners finds that
this right-of-way is unimproved and is not needed as a
public right-of-way.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
The City of Paducah does hereby
authorize the closing of a portion of South 22nd Street,
located between "B" and "C" Streets, which is more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an iron pin set 30.00 feet east at
right angles from the centerline of "C" Street,
said centerline point is located 30.00 feet south
with the centerline of "C" Street from the
centerline intersection of "C" Street and 22nd
\y Street; thence south 67 degrees 05 minutes 05
seconds east for a distance of 336.00 feet with
the south right of way of 22nd Street to an iron
pin set 30 feet west at right angles from the
centerline of "B" Street; thence north 22 degrees
54 minutes 02 seconds east for a distance of 60.00
feet with the west side of "B" Street to a point
in the north right of way of 22nd Street; thence
north 67 degrees 05 minutes 05 seconds west for a
distance of 336.00 feet with the north side of
22nd Street to a point 30.00 feet east at right
angles from the centerline of "C" Street; thence
south 22 degrees 54 minutes 02 seconds west for a
distance of 60.00 feet with the east side of "C"
Street, the point of beginning.
Together with and subject to covenants, easements,
and restrictions of record. Said property con-
tains 0.4628 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel of the City of
Paducah is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 82.405, an action
in McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the
closing of the street described in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
