HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-3-4380ORDINANCE NO. 90-3-4380 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A COLLECTION SERVICE PROPOSAL BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND CREDIT BUREAU SYSTEMS, INC. WHEREAS, the City is desirous of an ethical, systematic means for recovery of certain delinquent real �I property tax bills; and WHEREAS, the City has in the past, been limited by Statutes governing the period of time allotted for recovery to seven (7) years from the date of original billing; and WHEREAS, Credit Bureau Systems, Inc. maintains the proper staffing and expertise in matters relating to tax collections; and WHEREAS, Credit Bureau Systems, Inc. is desirous of a service agreement with the City designed to augment recoveries of said real property tax bills on behalf of the City. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to execute a Collection Service Proposal between the City of Paducah and Credit Bureau Systems, Inc. for the recovery of certain delinquent real property tax bills. SECTION 2. This Collection Service Proposal is attached hereto and incorporated by reference as if set out in full herein. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof. GERRY B.
