HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-1-4366782A ORDINANCE NO. 90-01- 4366 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 32-6.5., 32-92., 32-93., and 32-95. OF CHAPTER 32 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES y` OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 32-6.5. is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 32-6.5. Prohibited sewer deposits. (19) No person or corporation shall discharge wastewater in excess of: 0/$�O 0.03 mg/l arsenic; O/OZO 0.10 mg/l cadmium; 1.700 mg/l copper; 1.100 mg/l cyanide; $/2$O 0.20 mg/l lead; (d, OOX 0.01 mg/l mercury; $/0$0 1.90 mg/l nickel; $/X$$ 0.50 mg/l silver; O/$A$ 0.60 mg/l total chromium; $/2$$ 2.20 mg/l zinc 25 mg/l ammonia as nitrogen (NH3)" SECTION 2. That Section 32-92. is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 32-92. collectors. Permit required for private No waste collected from septic tanks or similar disposal containers shall be disposed of by the city for any private collector of such waste unless and until such person has obtained an Industrial Discharge Permit in addition to a Waste Hauler Permit upon completion of a Waste Hauler Application." SECTION 3. to read as follows: "Sec. 32-93. That Section 32-93. is hereby amended Permit application. An application for a permit required of private septic tank collectors shall be presented to the 0�tjt rhAAAO¢� Pretreatment Coordinator in writing on the official Waste Haulers Permit application, and shall specify the frequency that said collector expects to dispose of said e m refuse; and the names of all persons working in his employment, along with other regulations outlined in the Waste Haulers Permit Application. No permit shall be issued unless the applicant holds a valid license from the Cabinet of Human Resources as required by KRS 211.970 through 211.982. A copy of the state license shall be attached to the application for a city permit." SECTION 4. That Section 32-95. is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 32-95. Term, transferability permit. The permit required of private septic tank collectors for having the city dispose of such waste may be issued to cover periods not exceeding twelve (12) months, and no such permit issued shall be transferable. Permit renewal applications shall be submitted a minimum of sixty (60) days prior to the annual Waste Haulers Permit expiration date." SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be retroactive to January 9, 1990. y.w/ SECTION 6. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading in order to comply with the requirements established for the pretreatment program for the City of Paducah. SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be published by title and a certified summary according to law. Gerry B.
