HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-10-45131075 ORDINANCE NO. 90-10-4513 AN ORDINANCE FINALIZING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, a tract of property west of and adja- cent to the present city limits, along U. S. Highway 60, is urban in character and suitable for development for urban purposes without unreasonable delay. WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of the City, and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property. WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the boundary of another incorporated city. WHEREAS, the Board of commissioners of the City of Paducah have enacted Ordinance 90-07-4457 expressing the intentions of the City of Paducah to annex and make a part of the City of Paducah the territory described below. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That it is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky to annex the hereinafter described property and therefore, that the hereinafter described property be annexed to, and be made a part of, the City of Paducah, Kentucky; the said real property being more par- ticularly and accurately described as follows: Beginning at a point in the north right of way line of U.S. Highway 60, said point being located a distance of 334.92' more or less from the intersection of the north right of way line of U.S. Highway 60 and the east right of way line of Holt Road extended; thence in a southerly direction a distance of 499.85' more or less to a point, said point being located in the southeast corner of lot number 3; thence in a westerly direction a distance of 220' more or less to a point; thence in a northwesterly direction a distance of 126.26' more or less to a point; thence in a westerly direction a distance of 350' more or less to a point; thence in a southerly direction a distance of 180' more or less to a point; thence in a southerly direction a distance of 120' more or less to a point; thence in a westerly direction a distance of 323' more or less to a point; thence in a 1076 southerly direction a distance of 788.39' more or less to a point; thence in a westerly direction a distance of 502.4' more or less to a point; thence in a northwesterly direction a distance of 88.35' more or less to a point; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 212.2' more or less to a point ; thence in a northwesterly direction a distance of 406.32' more or less to a point; thence in a northeasterly direction a distance of 51.45' more or less to a point; thence in a northeasterly direction along an arc a distance of 50.05' more or less to a point; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 195.93' more or less to a point; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 200' more or less to a point, said point being located in the south right of way line of U.S. Highway 60; thence in a northeasterly direction along said south right of way line of U.S. Highway 60 a distance of 1,242.5' more or less to a point; thence in a northerly direction across U.S. Highway 60 a distance of 97.2' more or less to a point, said point being located at the intersection at the north right of way line of U.S. Highway 60 and the west property line of a tract owned by Charles and Sybil Stratton as recorded in Deed Book 316 page 480 on the 7th day of April, 1952 in the McCracken County Court Clerks office; thence continuing along the west property line of said tract a distance of 222.8' more or less to a point; thence in a northeasterly direction a distance of 390.6' more or less to a point; thence in a southerly direction a distance of 90' more or less to a point; thence in southeasterly direction along an arc a distance of 125' more or less to a point, said point being located in the north right of way line of U.S. Highway 60; thence in a northeasterly direction with said north right of way line of U.S. Highway 60 a distance of 290' more or less to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. This final ordinance of annexation shall be read on two separate days and upon publication the territory described above shall become a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky for all purposes.
