HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-9-45001056 ORDINANCE NO. 90-9-4500 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN ENCROACHMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND SCHROEDER PUBLISHING COMPANY, INC. FOR ENCROACHMENTS UPON CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY WHEREAS, Schroeder Publishing Company, Inc. is the owner of certain real property located on the north by Second Street, on the south by Third Street, on the east by Jefferson Street, and on the west by Monroe Street; and WHEREAS, Schroeder Publishing Company, Inc. has requested from the City of Paducah permission to use a portion of City right-of-way for the construction of a retaining wall for a quilt museum, which encroachment is insignificant in nature. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY SECTION 1. That the Mayor be authorized to enter into an Encroachment Agreement with Schroeder Publishing Company, Inc. for the construction of a retaining wall for a quilt museum on City right-of-way along the easterly right-of-way on Monroe Street, which encroachment shall be of a width of 1'6". SECTION 2. Said Agreement is attached hereto and incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein. SECTION 3. In order to expedite construction of this museum, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading. GERRY B.
