AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS RELATING
THERETO WITH THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY JUSTICE CABINET FOR THE
2008-2009 LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE FEE GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah adopted Municipal Order No. 1363 on January
22, 2008, to apply for a 2008-2009 Underage Drinking Enforcement Grant for the Paducah
Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Kentucky Justice Cabinet has approved the
application and is now ready to award this grant
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute an
agreement and all other documents relating thereto with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Justice
Cabinet to obtain a law enforcement service fee grant in the amount of $8,881.00 for the traffic
enforcement program that includes underage drinking.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
