AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SALARY OF THE CITY MANAGER OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah adopted Ordinance Number 98-5-5864 establishing the
salary of the City Manager in the amount of $75,000; and
WHEREAS, on January 8, 2002, a Personnel Action was adopted by the Board of
Commissioners to increase the salary by 3% for a total of $77,250; and
WHEREAS, on January 15, 2002, a motion was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
granting the City Manager a salary increase in the amount of $5,000; and
WHEREAS, on July 23, 2002, Ordinance Number 2002-7-6546 granted a 3% salary
increase, increasing the salary to a total of $84,717.50; and
WHEREAS, on August 10, 2004, Ordinance Number 2004-8-6858 granted an increase
which comes to a total of $93,189.33; and
WHEREAS, on June 28, 2005, Ordinance Number 2005-6-6986 granted an increase
which comes to a total of $95,985.06; and
WHEREAS, on July 25, 2006, Ordinance Number 2006-7-7148 granted a 4% salary
increase, increasing the total salary to $99,824.47; and
WHEREAS, on July 10, 2007, Ordinance Number 2007-7-7295 granted a 3% salary
increase, increasing the total salary to $102,819.20; and
by 3%.
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah now desires to increase the salary of the City Manager
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the salary of the City Manager of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
shall be amended to read as follows:
"The annual rate of compensation for the City Manager shall be paid at the times other
city salaries are paid, and shall be exclusive of the compensation, if any, paid to him as a member of the
Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah."

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
