AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID FOR STREETSCAPE LIGHTING
ALONG BROADWAY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Story Electrical Service,
Inc., in the amount of $40,974.00, for installation of permanent lighting and electrical receptacles
in the streetscape on Broadway, between 7th Street and 2nd Street, said bid being in substantial
compliance with bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of Story Electrical Service, Inc.,
of June 13, 2008.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Story Electrical Service Inc., for installation of permanent lighting and electrical receptacles in
the streetscape on Broadway, between 7th Street and 2nd Street, authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This purchase shall be charged through Public Works Services
Other Account.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
