AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WAHL'S LANDSCAPE
CONTRACTOR FOR GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR OAK GROVE
CEMETERY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of
Wahl's Landscape Contractor for grounds maintenance services
for Oak Grove Cemetery, said bid being in substantial
compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for
bids, and as contained in the bid of Wahl's Landscape
Contractor of April 16, 1993. Pursuant to said bid the City
shall pay unto Wahl's Landscape Contractor the amount of
$6,500.00 per mowing up to the total extent of $52,000.00 per
year for the fiscal years of 1993-94, 1994-95 and for the
fiscal years of 1995-96, 1996-97, if the contract is renewed by
the City for such years.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Wahl's Landscape Contractor for grounds
maintenance services for Oak Grove Cemetery as contained in
Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated
in the bid.
SECTION 3.
This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 01-24-04-258.
SECTION 4. Due to the conditions of the cemetery an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
have one reading and become effective upon passage. A summary
of this ordinance shall be published pursuant to KRS Chapter
424.
