ORDINANCE NO. 93-4-4922
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH WILBUR SMITH ASSOCIATES FOR A TRAFFIC STUDY IN
THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $18,302.00
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah requested proposals from
engineering firms for a traffic survey of U.S. 60 from Olivet
Church Road to Friedman Lane and Holt Road to Hansen; and
WHEREAS, Wilbur Smith Associates submitted a proposal
for this study that will provide the most extensive amount of
traffic counting periods and does not require the City to
provide personnel for counting.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept
the bid of Wilbur Smith Associates for a traffic study of U.S.
60 from Olivet Church Road to Friedman Lane and Holt Road to
Hansen in an amount not to exceed $18,302.00, said bid being in
substantial compliance with the bid specifications and
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of Wilbur
Smith Associates.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Wilbur Smith Associates for a traffic study of
U.S. 60 from Olivet Church Road to Friedman Lane and Holt Road
to Hansen, as set out in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 01-12-02-258.
SECTION 4. Due to pressing time constraints and the
need to alleviate hazardous traffic conditions, an emergency is
declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective with
one reading.
