AN ORDINANCE APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR
WEST VALE SUBDIVISION SANITATION SEWER EXTENSION
CONTRACT WITH ASPHALT PAVING, INC., INCREASING
THE TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT TO A SUM NOT TO EXCEED
$86,242.15, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR PRO TEM TO \
EXECUTE SAME Y
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 92-7-4807, the City approved an
ordinance accepting the bid of Asphalt Paving, Inc., in the amount of
$81,928.90 for the West Vale Subdivision Sanitation Sewer Extension and
authorized the Mayor to execute a contract for same; and
WHEREAS, Asphalt Paving, Inc., has submitted Change Order
No. 1 to the above referenced contract requesting the total sum due
under said contract be increased by $4,313.25; and
WHEREAS, said request has been approved by City Engineer
Roger Colburn and City Manager Jim Pennington;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, XENTUCRY:
SECTION 1. That Change Order No. 1 for the West Vale
Subdivision Sanitary Sewer Extension contract with Asphalt Paving, Inc.,
increasing the total contract amount to a sum not to exceed $86,242.15
be, and hereby is, approved.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor Pro Tem be, and hereby is,
authorized to execute Change Order No. 1 to the aforesaid contract.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to account
number 55-33-05-470.
SECTION 4. This ordinance will be read on two separate days
and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified
summary thereof.
