AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KENTUCKY
LEAGUE OF CITIES FOR INSURANCE COVERAGE
WHEREAS, the City requested bids from various insurance providers
regarding business auto insurance coverage; and
WHEREAS, Kentucky League of Cities has submitted a bid which is

acceptable to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Paducah, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby accept the
bid of Kentucky League of Cities for insurance coverage for the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, which coverage shall be business auto insurance coverage.
SECTION 2. The mayor of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby
authorized to consummate purchase of the aforesaid insurance coverage and to
execute any documents which are necessary thereto.
SECTION 3. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060, the City Commission

suspends the requirement of a second reading of this Ordinance. As grounds
therefor, the City Commission does hereby declare an emergency td exist as to
procurement of the aforesaid insurance coverage. Specifically, the present insurance
coverage is to expire, and it is necessary to immediately procure the aforesaid
insurance coverage so as to provide continuity of insurance coverage. Accordingly,
this ordinance shall become effective upon the first reading of this ordinance and
publication of same.
