AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 27, SOLID
WASTE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION I.. Section 2, Definitions, of Chapter 27, Solid
Waste, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, is hereby

amended to read as follows
2.9 Green Waste: Includes, but is not limited to,
Aall accumulations of grass, shrubbery or weeds
or cuttings from any of the foregoing, or pine
needles, and other waste incidental to the growth,
maintenance or care of lawns, or shrubbery,
vines and gardens. The term "Green Waste" shall
not be taken to include trees or tree limbs in
excess of 48 (forty-eight) inches in length and
greater than three (3) inches in diameter, tree
stumps, used or broken appliances, furniture,
bedding, building materials, lumber or other
materials of like nature (See 2.2 Bulk Waste) .
SECTION II. Subsection 2.18, Solid Waste, of Section 2,
Definitions, of Chapter 27, Solid Waste, of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Paducah, is hereby created to read as follows:
2.18 Solid Waste: All forms of waste as defined
herein, including bulk, commercial, green and
residential waste.
Section III. All other sections and subsections of Chapter 27,
Solid Waste, of the Code of Ordinances shall remain unchanged.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall be read on two separate
days and become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS
Chapter 424.
