AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILKINS CONSTRUC-
TION COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $38,953.00 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
THE NOBLE PARK NATURE TRAIL, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of
Wilkins Construction Company in the amount of $38,953.00 for
construction of the Noble Park Nature Trail. The City of
Paducah has obtained Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF)
grant funds.in the amount of $19,987.50 for this project, to be
matched by City funds.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Wilkins Construction Company for construction
of the Noble Park Nature Trail, as contained in Section 1
above. A copy of this contract is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 40-88-24-258.
SECTION 4. In order to complete construction of this
project before the onset of inclement weather, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance will become
effective with one reading.
