ORDINANCE NO. 93-9-5008
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NO. 3-21-0043-08 IN THE AMOUNT
OF $109,318 AND A GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NO.
_ 3-21-0043-09 IN THE AMOUNT OF $290,682, ENTERED INTO BY AND
BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION, THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE COUNTY O
McCRACKEN, FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT BARKLEY AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah and County of
McCracken, Kentucky, have submitted to the FAA a Project
Application dated August 9, 1993, for a grant of Federal
funds for a project at or associated with the Barkley
Regional Airport/Planning Area; and
WHEREAS, the FAA has approved a project for the
Airport or Planning Area.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized and
directed to execute Grant Agreement for Project No.
3-21-0043-09 in the amount of $109,318 and a Grant Agreement
for Project No. 3-21-0043-09 in the amount of $290,682, by
and between the United States of America, Federal Aviation
1 Administration, the City of Paducah and the County of
_! McCracken, Kentucky. These Agreements are attached hereto
and incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. In order to comply with Federal
deadlines to obtain funds for this project, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately with one reading.
