ORDINANCE NO. 89-1-4174
V AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF STATEWIDE
CONTAINER FOR THE PURCHASE OF STANDARD FRONT END LOADING
REFUSE CONTAINERS, FOR SALE TO THE CITY FOR USE BY THE
REFUSE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the
bid of Statewide Container for the purchase of up to forty
(40) standard front loading refuse containers at the
following prices:
6 -yd. containers $503.00 each
8 -yd. containers $575.00 each
said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid
specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized
by Municipal Order passed by the Board of Commissioners on
December 13, 1988, and as contained in the bid of Statewide
Containers of December 22, 1988.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to
execute a contract with Statewide Container for the purchase
of refuse containers authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in
the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 10-500-420-514.
SECTION 4. Due to an immediate need for these
containers, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall become effective with one reading.
