ORDINANCE NO. 88 -7 -409 -211 -
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF AN
ALLEY LOCATED IN WADE'S PARKVIEW ADDITION
WHEREAS, Wade's Parkview Addition to the City of Paducah was
platted in 1908 as part of the Caldwell -Mallory Subdivision, recorded,,,
in Plat Book "A", page 288-289; and
WHEREAS, a 22 -foot public alley shown in said plat was not,
closed with;the re -subdivision of the Caldwel-Mallory Subdivision in
April of 1960, as recorded in Plat Book "G", page 16; and.
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah claims no interest in said
22 -foot public alley; and
WHEREAS,.the City,,of Paducah wishes to formally close said
22 -foot public alley.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize
the closing of a portion of an.alley located in Wade's Parkview
Addition, and.more.,,particularly-described,as.follows:
A 22 -foot portion of a public alley within a portion of,
Lot 14, Block 4; Lot 9, Block 1; Lots 13 & 14, Block 14;
as indicated on the Wade's Parkview Addition plat
recorded in Plat Book "G", page 16, McCracken County
Clerk' -s Office.

SECTION 2. -That the Corporation Counsel of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be, and, he is hereby, authorized, empowered and
directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS-82.405, an action
in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of
the alley described in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. In order to. have this, alley closed as expedi-
tiously as possible since these lots have been sold and structures
built, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
shall become effective with one reading.
