ORDINANCE NO. 86-6-4085
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 20-51 THROUGH 2O-61 OF
CHAPTER 20, MOTOR VEHICLES AND__.TRAFFIC,. OF THE CODE OF.ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, the revenues from the sale of vehicle licenses has
been dwindling over the. -past several.years; and
WHEREAS, the inconvenience'to.resident's 'in obtaining vehicle
licenses is. greater.than ithe benefit,derived to the City from said
revenue; and.. _
WHEREAS, 3t .is_ the intent -of the :City Commission to repeal
the requirement for vehicles to have City vehicles licenses.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.. That the following sections of Chapter 20, Motor
Vehicles. and Traffic.,, of -.the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, are hereby deleted in their entirety: Section 20-51,
Required; Section.20-52, Application; Section -20-53, Fee -Amount;
Section 20-54, Payment; Section 20-55, Collection; when payable; _
Section 20-56, Penalty for late payment; Section 20-57, Disposition•,
Section 20-58, Display of license sticker; Section 20-59, Transfer to
another vehicle prohibited; Section 20-60, State license as conclusive
evidence of ownership and operation for purposes of article; and
Section 20-61, Penalty for violating article.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective on July 1,
