ORDINANCE NO. 88-9-4125
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
AND CITY TREASURER TO PURCHASE REAL ESTATE TO BE USED BY THE
ti
CITY IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has received an offer
to purchase real estate which is to be used in the Fire
Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah does now desire to
purchase said parcel for the price of $36,500.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the following described property
located on Broadway be purchased from Jill Mathis, a single
person, Susan Hook Sloan, a single person, Dawn Hook Rob-
ertson and her husband, Dr. Robert Robertson:
Located and being in Paducah, McCracken
County, Kentucky, and more particularly
described as beginning at a point on the
south side of Broadway 67 feet westwardly
from the southwest corner of the intersection
of Broadway and 17th Street; thence west-
wardly with the south line of Broadway 38.5
feet; thence at right angles and southwardly
142 feet to the line of an alley; thence
eastwardly with the line of said alley 38.5
feet; thence at right angles and northwardly
142 feet to the place of beginning.
SECTION 2.
The City Treasurer shall pay to Jill
Mathis, a single person, Susan Hook Sloan, a single person,
Dawn Hook Robertson and her husband, Dr. Robert Robertson
the sum of Thirty -Six Thousand Five Hundred ($36,500.00)
Dollars upon delivery of a General Warranty Deed.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
