City of Paducah December 4, 1990
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the City Hall Commission Chambers
at 7:00 p.m., December 4, 1990, Mayor Montgomery presided, and upon call of the roll, the following
answered to their names: Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery (4).
Commissioner Leeper was absent (1). John Hornsby, who was appointed to fill the unexpired term
of Commissioner Leeper, effective January 8, 1990, attended.
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the executed
copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 1990,.be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Taylor and
Mayor Montgomery (4).
Commissioner Taylor offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the Board of
Commissioners introduce and adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MID -
STATES CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $68,799.00 TO RETROFIT FIRE STATIONS NO. 1 THROUGH 5,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME This ordinance is summarized as follows:
Accepting the bid of Midstates Construction Company in the amount of $68,799.00 to retrofit Fire
Stations No. 1 thorugh 5, and authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract for same. Adopted on call
of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery (4).
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the Board of
Commissioners go into Executive Session for discussions which might lead to the appointment,
discipline or dismissal of an individual employee. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners
Coleman, Grumley, Taylor and Mayor Montgomery (4).
At the conclusion of the Executive Session the Board reconvened in Open Session where-
upon the Mayor announced there was no further business.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
