AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR 1994
FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE PURSUIT CARS FROM QUALITY
FORD -MERCURY, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $59,210.00 FOR
USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah is authorized to
purchase four 1994 Ford Crown Victoria police pursuit cars in
an amount not to exceed $59,210.00 from Quality Ford -Mercury,
Inc. for use by the Police Department, said purchase being in
substantial compliance with the bid specifications as
authorized by the Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a
contract with Quality Ford -Mercury, Inc. for the purchase of
four 1994 Ford Crown Victoria police pursuit cars, authorized
in Section 1 above, according to the specifications and all
contract documents heretofore approved.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 01-16-02-440.
SECTION 4. Due to the deteriorated condition of the
current police car fleet and the limited availability of the
p 1994 police pursuit cars, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist. This ordinance will become effective immediately with
one reading and will be published pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
