ORDINANCE NO. 94-2-50%
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
ADDENDUM TO THE CONTRACT WITH W. R. COLES AND ASSOCIATES IN
AN AMOUNT UP TO $60,000.00 FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING
SERVICES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE DOWNTOWN RIVERFRONT PLAZA,
AND AMENDING THE CONTRACT END DATE TO MARCH 30, 1994 FOR
THIS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City entered into a contract with
W. R. Coles and Associates for professional engineering
services for construction of the Downtown Riverfront Plaza;
and
WHEREAS, an addendum to the contract was approved
by Ordinance No. 92-1-4715 on January 14, 1992; and
WHEREAS, a second addendum to the contract is now
required for professional engineering services for
additional construction on this project and to extend the
duration of the contract services to March 30, 1994.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute an Addendum to the contract with W. R.
Coles and Associates for professional engineering services
for construction of the Downtown Riverfront Plaza. The
original contract with W. R. Coles and Associates is
extended to March 30, 1994, for completion of this project.
This addendum attached hereto and incorporated by reference
as if fully set out in herein.
SECTION 2. An expenditure of up to $60,000.00 is
hereby authorized for additional professional engineering
services to be performed by W. R. Coles and Associates.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 42-88-20-286.
SECTION 4. Due to inclement weather which has
delayed construction since the implementation of this
contract, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall become effective immediately with one
reading.
