AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ARATEX SERVICES,
INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $36,910.00 FOR THE
RENTAL/CLEANING OF UNIFORMS AND MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS FOR USE BY
EMPLOYEES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, DEPARTMENT OF
ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES AND THE DEPARTMENT OF
PARKS AND LEISURE SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid
of Aratex Services, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $36,910.00
for the rental/cleaning of uniforms and miscellaneous items for
use by employees in the Department of Public Works, Department
of Environmental and Engineering Services and the Department of
Parks and Leisure Services, said bid being in substantial
compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for
bids, and as contained in the bids of Aratex Services, Inc.,
Bid # RFP: 93-07-2 (revised), of August 13, 1993.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Aratex Services, Inc., for the rental/cleaning
of uniforms and miscellaneous items as set out in Section 1
above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the
bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
account funds: General (01), Solid Waste (50), Wastewater
(55); line item 254.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
