ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT FOR ASSISTANCE THROUGH HOPE 31 OFFICE
OF COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT, DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, by Municipal Order No.
( 657, adopted August 10, 1994, approved an application for
\ assistance through Hope 3 to the Department of Housing and
Urban Development, requesting grant funds for the development
of a program to repair delinquent tax properties for resale to
home owners in the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, the above application has received HUD
approval, and the City must now formally accept this grant and
finalize all documents relating to same.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a Grant Agreement for assistance through
HOPE 3, Office of Community Planning and Development,
Department of Housing and Urban Development, for grant funds
for the development of a program to repair delinquent tax
properties for resale to home owners in the City of Paducah.
This Agreement is attached hereto and incorporated by reference
as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. This program shall be assigned to Account
No.
SECTION 3. In order to comply with federal
deadlines, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
