AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 IN THE AMOUNT OF $52,855.95 WITH
MIDSTATES CONSTRUCTION INC. FOR RENOVATIONS OF THE LEISURE
SERVICES CENTER
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 93-10-5027 adopted October
12, 1993, the City entered into a contract in the amount of
$391,399-.00 with Midstates Construction Inc. for renovation of
the Leisure Services Center; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of
$52,855.95, is required for improvements to the HVAC system in
the dining and activities rooms of the building.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute Change Order No. 1 in the amount of
$52,855.95 with Midstates Construction Inc. for improvements to
the HVAC system in the dining and activities rooms of the
Leisure Services Center. This Change Order is attached hereto
and incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. The amount of the contract with Midstates
Construction Inc. is amended to $444,254.95.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 56-48-13-415.
SECTION 4. In order not to further delay completion
of this project, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one
reading, pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
