AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF STATEWIDE WELDING
IN THE AMOUNT OF $28,700.00 FOR PURCHASE OF FIFTY FRONT LOADING
CARDBOARD -ONLY REFUSE CONTAINERS FOR THE CARDBOARD RECYCLING
PROGRAM, FOR USE BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, SOLID WASTE
DIVISION, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid
of Statewide Welding in the amount of $28,700.00 for the
purchase of fifty (50) front loading cardboard -only refuse
containers for the cardboard recycling program, for use by the
Public Works Department, Solid Waste Division, said bid being
in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bids of
Statewide Welding of November 8, 1993.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Statewide Welding for the purchase of fifty
(50) front loading containers as set out in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 50-22-10-438.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
