AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PADUCAH FORD
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,580.00 EACH, FOR SALE TO THE CITY
OF TWO NEW 1994 FORD TAURUS AUTOMOBILES, FOR USE BY THE
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
The City of Paducah accepts the bid of
Paducah Ford Inc. in the amount of $13,580.00 each, for sale
to the City of two new 1994 Ford Taurus automobiles for use
by Department of Environmental and Engineering Services,
said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid
specifications, and as contained in the bid of Paducah Ford
nc. of April 13, 1994.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Paducah Ford Inc. for the purchase
of two new automobiles, authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in
the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be paid as
follows: Account No. 55-33-04-440 - $6,790.00; Account No.
01-33-07-440 - $6,790.00; and Account No. 55-33-01-440 -
$13,580.00.
SECTION 4. In order to finalize this purchase
before this vehicle model becomes unavailable, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately with one reading.
