AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 1994
CHEVROLET 5-10 BLAZER FROM MONTGOMERY CHEVROLET INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $19,461.00 FOR USE BY THE PARKS AND LEISURE SERVICES
DEPARTMENT, FORESTER/GROUNDS MAINTENANCE DIVISION, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME

WHEREAS, this equipment is available under State
Contract No. BT004280, and competitive bidding is not required.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah is authorized to
purchase one 1994 Chevrolet 5-10 Blazer in the amount of
$19,461.00 from Montgomery Chevrolet Inc., for use by the
Parks and Leisure Services Department, Forester/Grounds
Maintenance Division, said purchase being in substantial
compliance with the bid specifications as authorized by the
Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a
contract with Montgomery Chevrolet Inc. for the purchase of one
vehicle, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications and all contract documents heretofore approved.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 01-24-02-440.
SECTION 4. This 1994 vehicle is no longer being
manufactured, and in order to make this purchase before all
supplies are depleted, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance will become effective immediately with one
reading. This ordinance will be published pursuant to KRS
Chapter 424.
