AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF STRINGFELLOW
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $128,993 FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE
NEW WX 64 TRUCK WITH HEIL 700-27FE SOLID WASTE BODY, FOR USE
BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/SOLID WASTE DIVISION, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of
Stringfellow Inc. in the amount of $128,993, for sale to the
City of one new WX-64 truck with Heil 7000-27FE automated
side loading solid waste body, for use by the Public Works
Department/Solid Waste Division, said bid being in substan-
tial compliance with the bid specifications, and as
contained in the bid of Stringfellow Inc. of May 23, 1994.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Stringfellow Inc. for the purchase
of one new truck, authorized in Section 1 above, according
to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall charged to
the Solid Waste Fund Reserve.
SECTION 4. In order to finalize this purchase
before this vehicle model becomes unavailable, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately with one reading.
