AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SCHNELL CONTRACTORS INC. IN THE AMOUNT
OF $265,711 FOR RENOVATION OF THE OAK GROVE CEMETERY MAUSOLEUM
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid
of Schnell Contractors Inc. in the amount of $265,711 for
renovation of the Oak Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, said bid being
in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of
Schnell Contractors Inc. of July 12, 1994.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Schnell Contractors Inc. for renovation of the
Oak Grove Cemetery Mausoleum as set out in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged as
follows: $ 82,500 to Account No. 01-24-04-415;
$183,211 to Account No.
SECTION 4. In order to finalize this contract before
bid acceptance deadline of September 12, 1994, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately with one reading.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published by
summary pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
