ORDINANCE NO. 94-11- -!!�-971-1-1
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND McCRACKEN
COUNTY REGARDING THE CITY'S USE OF CERTAIN SCALES OWNED BY THE
COUNTY AND ALSO REGARDING THE PROPOSED LOCATION OF A TRANSFER
STATION SITE
WHEREAS, the County currently owns scales located at
the County landfill which it will no longer need when the
landfill closes; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to use the scales when the
County no longer has a need for their use; and
WHEREAS, the City and County desire to enter into an
agreement as to the general location of a transfer station
site.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized
to execute a contract by and between the City of Paducah and
McCracken County, and the City Clerk of the City of Paducah is
hereby authorized and directed to attest under the seal of the
City of Paducah an agreement which is substantially in the form
as attached hereto.
SECTION 2. In order to allow sufficient time to
implement this contract on the same date as the solid waste
contract, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
