AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 94-11-5213,
ACCEPTING THE BID OF MIDSTATES CONSTRUCTION INC. FOR RENOVATION
OF THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT BUILDING LOCATED AT 400 SOUTH
SIXTH STREET
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 94-11-5213, adopted on
November 8, 1994, the City of Paducah authorized a construction
contract between the City and Midstates Construction Inc. in
the amount of $340,199 for renovation of the Paducah Police
Department Building located at 400 South 6th Street; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend this ordinance to
reflect the actual, original contract price for this project.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 94-11-5213 is hereby
amended to reflect the original contract price of $357,023.36
with Midstates Construction Inc. for the renovation of the
Paducah Police Department Building located at 400 South Sixth
Street.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 040-1616-521-42-05.
SECTION 3. In order to reflect the actual, original
amount of this contract, and to insure that construction is not
interrupted on this project, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately
with one reading.
