ORDINANCE 95-1- 5-c�LSI
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-80.5 OF CHAPTER 10,
CIVIL SERVICE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has enrolled most
current employees of the City who are under civil service into
the Kentucky County Employees Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, there the benefits provided for under the
Appointive Employees' Pension Fund have not been adjusted since
January 1, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has obtained an
actuarial study the Appointive Employees' Pension Fund and
finds that it is of sufficient size to allow an increase in
benefits;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. Section 10-80.5, Adjustments of Pensions,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Effective January 1, 1002 1995, all persons
receiving a pension under Section 10-79 or 10-80 shall receive
a one-time increase often percent (10%) in
the amount of their pensions. Sections 10-79 and 10-80
f1 notwithstanding, a minimum pension of $241140 265.54 per month
is hereby established for all retired members and widows of
retired members."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title or a certified summary thereof.
