AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE
ORDER NO. 3 TO DECREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE PROJECT TOTAL COST BY
$93,100.17 WITH VANGUARD CONTRACTORS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
RIVERFRONT PLAZA
WHEREAS, the City entered into a contract with
Vanguard Contractors, Inc. for construction of the Downtown
Riverfront Plaza; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 reduced the original
contract price by $18,935.47 and was approved on February 15,
1994; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 in an amount up to
$26,000.00 was approved on February 15, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 is required for a
decrease in the project total cost by $93,100.17 because the
engineer estimated unit pricing higher than was actually
required.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
Change Order No. 3 to decrease the amount of the project total
cost by $93,100.17 with Vanguard Contractors for construction
of the Riverfront Plaza.
SECTION 2. The amount of the contract with Vanguard
Contractors is amended to $1,092,036.41.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
